Online Water Quality Monitoring Solution for Swimming Pools
Current Status of Swimming Pools: As summer approaches, swimming pools enter their peak season, drawing large numbers of visitors. However, with high foot traffic comes increased risk—water quality directly impacts the health and safety of swimmers. At the same time, contamination in pool water has become a growing concern, making real-time water quality awareness more critical than ever.
Key Factors Affecting Pool Water Quality(Two primary issues): 1.Biological contaminants: Such as sweat from swimmers and urine from children, these factors can elevate urea levels beyond safe thresholds. 2.Over-disinfection: Some facility managers, anxious about bacterial outbreaks, may overdose chlorine-based disinfectants, leading to excessive free chlorine levels that can irritate skin and eyes.
To ensure safe, comfortable, and compliant pool conditions, the following parameters should be continuously monitored: 1.Water Temperature: Temperatures outside the optimal range (22°C - 26°C) can cause discomfort. Stable temperature control is key to bather satisfaction. 2.pH Level: Proper pH balance (6.5 - 8.5) enhances swimmer comfort and maintains water clarity, as supported by health guidelines. 3.Free Chlorine: This measures the residual disinfectant remaining after chlorination. For effective yet safe sanitation, free chlorine should typically be kept 0.3 - 1.0 mg/L. 4.Turbidity: Clarity is a direct indicator of water quality. Turbidity should generally not exceed 5 NTU, lower values signify clearer, cleaner water.
